It's not falling in love or being poor, it's the curse of understanding--being able to see other people's point of view and completely ignoring yours.
It means giving in to them that even if something is important to you, you would gladly give it up to make them happy; making their lives much easier even if it makes yours harder. Killing yourself much? Aw.
Sometimes, it just sucks to not get what you want. PERIOD.
